StarterBar gdesklet display error

I'm having a strange problem with the StarterBar gdesklet -- it seems to be installed correctly, but when I try to run starterbar.display, all I get is a small black dot. The "Add starter" option doesn't work, either.

Anyone have any idea what's causing this? Obviously StarterBar isn't much use without starters...

more than likely a change in the gdesklets API or similar. i changed from 0.26 to 0.30pre and most of the plugins stopped working... maybe there's ana updated version avaible? or an alternative?

Starterbar is broken with gDesklets 0.30, but if you search the gdesklets forums, there are various CVS related hacks to get it working. Pycage (the author) is in china for a while studying, so it won't be fixed until he gets back.
