StarOffice update crashes Nautilus
Hi folks - need some help here.
I'm running Sun's JDS2 linux.
I recently downloaded the StarOffice Product Update 5. I followed these steps:
tar xvf /downloads/116518-08.tar
cd 116518-08/
umask 022
./so-7-pp5-bin-linux.bin -patch /usr/staroffice7
Unfortunately I did this in my user account without switching to "su."
The install started and seemed to go OK, but when I started Staroffice it still launched as Product Update 2 (which is what I started with). AND if I click on anything on the desktop, Nautilus crashes immediately.
I reran the patch install as su and StarOffice now launches as "Product Update 5," but Nautilus is still crashing and my desktop is unusable.
If I log in as root, Nautilus works fine. I tried creating a new user account, and Nautilus will work if I log in as the new user, but if I'm logged into my regular user account, Nautilus crashes as soon as I click on anything on my desktop.
