SSH su problems please help

Hi everyone

MY SSH config is like this

a generic user whitch can login from anywhere (unprevileged)
root can login only from specific ip addres inside of the network

: the problem

When I connect with the unprevileged user and
#su
****

I Can't use command like

adduser

whitch are working whene I login with root whithowt su command

I'm not sure about RedHat but most distributions require users to be in the 'wheel' group in order to have su privelages. Check /etc/group to see if you have a wheel group. If so, make sure your unprivelaged user is in the group.

<EDIT>I just read your post again. Looks like you can su but don't have adduser in your path. Try doing 'su -' instead of just 'su'. This will give you all of roots paths as well.</EDIT>
