squid maddness

dear friends,

I am getting mad....though I have used squid for more than a year..i had never been across this..
the problem is:
1) I can access ftp servers where anonymous login works
2) I CANNOT access ftp servers where login and password is asked. That is the browser at the user side shows PASSED but password incorrect. How can I pass the login and password dialog from ftp server to the user side?
3) I tried "ftp_user myserlf@" on squid.conf but it worked for some site but did not worked for vast number of site. They seem to need specific username and password. REsult is PASSED but PASSWORD INCORRECT.

and my clients are really angry and so is my boss...........

hope u guys help this eternally damned fooll.
thanx

myself
