Hi everyone this is my first post. Im working in a certain company and we have to setup a firewall. We heard about linux but the problem is we are a newbie about linux and doesnt know much anything about it...
anyway we choose UBUNTU to be our firewall server we installed it and it was good now we tried to install squid. We downloaded it from squid-cache along with its manual, by following the manual i was able to install SQUID now my big problem is how do i configure squid the manual that i get from squid-cache and everything i was able to dig in the internet assumed that i have an idea on what it says and can find my way in doing what it says. although there are examples but my question now is "how did he get there?" "how did he do that"...can anyone pls help me!

squid howto is pretty self descriptive, every new one (me too when i was new) read the howto's again and again and yet again to understand it more and i suggest you do it too. well if you run into any specific problem that you are unable to solve after a decent number of tries, LQ is the place to ask.
