Squid

Hello Sir,

I am using Redhat Linux Server 9.0. (Internet Server)

Squid is working Properly.

All the clients are Windows 2000 Professional Machine.

I want configure squid

for example

Clinet Machine (Windows 2000 Professional):
Open Internet Explorer
Type download.com
"ownload.com" website is opened.
When the user Click .exe file(any software)
The Squid display a message "Access Denied"

That means I want to restrict .exe file. But the website (download.com) will open.

Whether it is possible how & explain Please

Thank You

I found this on the Squid mailing list. Search the archives and maybe subscribe to the list.

If that mailing list thread is correct, read on the "url_regex" acl directive and use it in conjunction with "http_access", which is also documented on that same page.

Peace...
