squashfs

Is it possible to to run a large game (Brave New World, Civ5) from squashfs so that it runs faster and especially saves its Saves a lot faster? Or perhaps you might know how to transfer the "My Games" folder to Steam if both would be faster there. How would I do this ?

Thank you!

I don't think you can significantly improve games by that way. Anyway, would be nice to tell us something about your system and hardware.

Is is possible to run a compressed filesystem or file that can perform faster. The question would be how well you can compress the data and how fast your system can decompress the data. I'm make a ramdisk if I really needed speed.
