Soundblaster Live no left output

I have a soundblaster live card that is working except for the left channel. I am getting the front and rear right channels and the sub, but the left channels have no output. I booted my computer into windows and it produced sound from all speakers. Why will windows play the left channel and linux won't?

do you have the emu10k1 driver installed properly?
did you install the emu-tools?
did you check to see if Kmix or Aumix slider bars were off balance?
emu-tools includes a script to enable digital output and set up the output to the Sub, and enable surround sound. is this what you want....surround sound.

Speakers

I had the same problem in suse.. I found a sound control center rather then just the volume and my left channel was all the way down :P
I dont know what your running but if you look at some of the sound tools their should be a few mixers what not.. see if your left channel is down.

Good luck hope that helped you out!
