something like kbiff under gnome

Hi!

So far I have used kde and kbiff, but now I am changing to gnome. Is there anything similar to kbiff under gnome? What I want is a email-notifier, that can pop up a window, if a new email comes in. The built in email-notifier by gnome does not (or I have not found out how) do this - it just changes the displayed text. Moreover the notification programme should be in the panel, which does not work with kbiff if run under gnome.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I dont use gnome but...
The tool you want comes with gnome.
Just play with the items you can add to the panel, and I bet you'll see it

I know that there is an "email-notification"- button in the panel under gnome. However it does not pop up windows when new messages arrive, or I just don't know how to tell it that it should pop up some window. Can anyone tell me how to do that, please?
