SNTP on Redhat


Hi all, i was wondering my server support SNTP
currently, it is running as a NTP server.
but is it posible to be a SNTP server? (client is SNTP)
if it is possible, how to start it up?


second question is, does a SNTP client able to syn with NTP server?
i think it is possible, but any official site can prove this?

SNTP is a subset of NTP, and according to this RFC:

Quote:
NTP and SNTP servers and clients are
completely interoperable and can be intermixed in NTP subnets.
.. I interpret that to mean that your RHEL NTP server will happily support your SNTP clients.
