Should I try Chalet OS?

Here is link to the OS: https://sites.google.com/site/chaletoslinux/home

I am new to the whole linux thing considering I've known about it for years, but never actually tried it much until recently.
If anyone has used this OS, Can anyone tell me pros and cons or just your opinions about it?
It seems alot like windows 7 and its intriguing to me.

codwwe348,

Here is a review of ChaletOS:

http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/chaletos-review.html

What is the make/model of your laptop/desktop?

How much RAM and what CPU?

Your hardware may dictate what you can use efficiently.

There are any number of beginner Linux distros such as Linux Mint 17.3, Ubuntu 16.04 MATE/Xfce, ZorinOS, Xubuntu which are far better known in Linux World than ChaletOS. Nothing against ChaletOS, just a fact.

You can download and burn an .iso file (to DVD or USB flash drive) for any one of the above and boot it in your computer. Just select TEST, don't actually install it at this stage.

You need to make sure that in your computer's BIOS that the DVD or USB HDD is set to boot ahead of the main HDD.
