sha-1 encryption and endianness

Hi,

I'm trying to encrypt data using sha-1 but I'm getting different results whether it's done on Windows (Intel) or SUN/LINUX platform. I know it's got something to do with little & big endian (byte ordering). Is there a way to preserve the encryption output ?

Thanks for your help.

Sade
