I've switched from Fedora 12 to 18 and am trying to get my e-mail back on line using Evolution. I've got my gmail account all set but am having problems with my earthlink address; after creating an account and using what I think are the right setting, Evolution still won't retrieve my messages from the Earthlink server. No error, just...no mail.

The POP account I've created has the following settings:
server: pop.earthlink.net
port: 110
security: no encryption
authentification: password

Any ideas? Anything you could recommend would be appreciated.

Most times i had no mail from pop, would indicate there is no mail on the pop server. Remember, on POP servers you have to consciously leave your email to be able to retrieve it with other clients aswell.

So do you also get no email when you send yourself an email. & Does Thunderbird show the same problems?
And is there a time that it takes for the send/recieve bar to fill, or is it instant?
