Hey everyone some notes on my adventure on ppp and serial connections.
There is an execlent how to on getting serial connections working between 2 linux computers and i have gotten this to work with my null modem cable.
The howto also mentions getitng windows to work with it as well.
Now here is the situation that i encounterd.
here at work they have windows xp and there is no way im ever gonna convince them otherwise and i almost gont in trouble even leaving a knoppix startup disc in the drive :P but anyway when you try and create the connection ither server or client on linux to connect to windows xp xp just sits and never sends any information. Also it never recives anything from the linux machine when xp is set as the server.
So has anyone ever gotten this to work or is windows xp just too retarded to know how to use serial connections ??
