I was able to successfully test outgoing mail from my Fedora core 2 machine with mail -s "test" root, when I set it up. I have since added a few virtual hosts to the apache server which work fine. Now the mail command results in the following logged to /var/log/maillog

Could someone please point me in the right direction to deciphering this log? Does is have something to do with the virtual hosts, if so how do I configure the outgoing mail to be delivered to anywhere.

Hi there. This is a problem with your hosts.alloq file. If you use tcp wrappers then have the entry of delight.ascensionweb.com in your ALL. Or else have this entry pointing to the 127.0.0.1 in your /etc/hosts file. check and tell me wheter this works.

Hosts.allow file was the ticket!
