sending mail as me@myschool.edu?

Hello~

I live at a residential school, which graciously supplies all of us with e-mail adresses. They give is a POP account, so I configured mutt accordingly, and everything works fine from the standpoint of retrieving mail.

The problem is, I can't figure out how to send mail out. I know that I need to get sendmail to relay all mail to my school's smtp server, and I tried doing this with a smart host. However, I know i must also need to authenticate with the school's smtp server some how for it to send out a message.

What do I have to do to get that server to send out my messages?

Thanks,
Andrew
