Question segmentation fault...

I am using Redhat 9, and trying to implement a c program. My current problem is ; I am using Xlib. I can properly open a simple window and display a simple text on it, but when I use the function XCloseDisplay() the progam gives a "segmentation fault". Is there any idea why it may happen?
