Konqueror lets you browse archived files like unarchived ones. It works like XP. If you want the folder(s)/file(s), you can right-click on it, copy and paste in a desired location.

BTW, you can set it up to preview images as thumbnails.

Thumbs up

GQView was a program I used to use that was very similar to ACDC in functionality.

Thanks to all . . . . . .

I have GQview ver. 1.0.2, it's great, but it cannot display JPG files
while they are compressed in a zip file.

I use Slackware 8.0 so i think i need to upgrade a lot of libraries to install the last version of Konqueror. I will try Konqueror when i have more time.

Btw, I have find a program that can see JPG files while compressed:

http://rox.sourceforge.net/rox_filer.php3

But to do it i need to install an additional piece of software:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/avf

and recompile the kernel to add support for the CODA filesystem.

Wow, very much work.....

I will try this option when the kernel 2.4.19 is released . . . . . . ^_^
