Searching for tool to install debian packages for RPM based distro (Fedora)

Hi there, i use Fedora 5 and from time to time i see/find packages where there is only a source .tar.gz and .deb file. I have no problems with compiling from source (mostly) but if there is already a packaged file why should'nt i use this one.

I knew something like apt or dpkg is suitable for this but there similar like yum and i don't want to install a whole new package-managment system cos i am happy with yum/yumex.

I want only install .deb packages separatley.

Any ideas.

A reason to build from source is that a lot of times the package won't work... BUT, you can try to use alien to convert the .deb to an .rpm. Then you can install it with yum or rpm...

Thanx for the answer. I stumbled over it. Thought it is only from deb to rpm. I try this and hopeful get working package.
