samba problem


i downloaded samba 3.03 . when i compiled it. i didn't get smb.conf in /usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf. i searched it in "/" but didn't got it . i re-installed linux. and then compilied but same error, then i used some parameters with ./configure but ..........
how to solve

Check /etc/samba/smb.conf

Thats where my smb.conf went by default. Thats where it probably checks first I would think. If it doesn't exist there, create one.

Mine is in "/etc/samba" too.
