Samba Per-Machine

I have recently installed a file server intended to permit backups of computers (mixed windows/*nix environment) over network. Now, I am aware of the sharing of /home/DIRECTORY as [homes] from Samba... my question is, would adding in some sort of share where I include "%m" as part of the path make that dependent upon the machine name? In other words, could each machine have its own share that only appears to that machine? I'll actually be trying it in a little while, but I wanted pointers from people who may have tried to before in case they have anything helpful to say.
