Samba Home Directory

I work for a school district, and we use samba for our students logins. We have a current samba pdc which houses the users home directories. I have setup a second smb server and rsync'd the data over to it, but now I need to alter the smb.conf file and and the login script to point to the new server, which I'm having probs with.

I have changed the following lines (which didn't work)
Logon drive = \\server2\%u

and in the netlogon.bat :
net use H: \\server2\%Username%

I'm coming up short on this one....does anyone have any suggestions on how to have samba point to another server as the home directory?

Thanks in advance.
