Hi!
I'm trying to set up Samba for a network full of Windows boxes so that it honours DOS file attributes (hidden, archive etc etc). Now, I've done a LOT of searching, and thats led to me adding the following lines smb.conf in global:
Code:
map acl inherit = yes
map archive= no
map hidden = no
map system = no
store dos attributes = yes
And the following in the share:
Code:
dos filemode = yes
dos filetimes = yes
If I've got this right, that SHOULD let me change DOS attributes by storing even if I'm not the owner of the file by storing them in an extended attribute (yes they are in the kernel).
BUT, this dosen't work. If I try and change the property with Explorer, it tells me "Access is denied". What have I done wrong?
Thanks in advance!
