RTC question
My kernel is saying stuff at me about the RTC and I didn't notice it previously.
bash-3.1$ dmesg |grep -i rtc
Using IPI Shortcut mode
Driver 'rtc_cmos' needs updating - please use bus_type methods
rtc_cmos 00:03: RTC can wake from S4
What's that about? Nothing has changed on this box in a ehile, btw. SiS 900/763 chipset with a 32 bit Athlon XP. lshal sees
udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_PNP0b00'
info.bus = 'pnp' (string)
info.linux.driver = 'rtc_cmos' (string)
info.parent = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer' (string)
info.product = 'AT Real-Time Clock' (string)
info.subsystem = 'pnp' (string)
info.udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_PNP0b00' (string)
linux.hotplug_type = 2 (0x2) (int)
linux.subsystem = 'pnp' (string)
linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/devices/pnp0/00:03' (string)
pnp.description = 'AT Real-Time Clock' (string)
pnp.id = 'PNP0b00' (string)
What's that about? I take it it's low priority, but what should I update?
