I'm wondering if the list can help me with a problem with my RH9 install.
For some reason RPM installs no longer work. They did to start with, but now when I double click an RPM I get the message about calculating headers/dependencies etc, and then it just disappears.
run rpm from a terminal window. As root
rpm -ivh package.name
for fresh installs and
rpm -Uvh package.name
for upgrades. You should get some error messages. If you post them here, someone might be able to help.
