root kit

There is a terminal based Nexus root app called unltlauncher100.sh
It is a small self executing script to root the Nexus 7 and other tablets. I have tried it and all it does is screw up and crash.
Does anyone know a good terminal based script to really root the Nexus
7 or is it just better to use a Windows PC????
