Rockbox concern
So I gave Rockbox a try on my iPod. Installed no problems, ran alright too, but I have one glaring concern. After installing and testing rockbox, I attempted to reboot to the original firmware as detailed in the online manual at rockbox.org. When I did, my iPod quickly flashed what I THOUGHT was a dead battery symbol and turned off (it was much to fast for me to be sure what it was). I attempted to turn it back on, nothing. I plugged it in to the computer, nothing. Car charging kit, nothing. All indications were that my iPod had been bricked. I put the hold switch on over night to see if something might change, and luckily I was able to get it to boot today by toggling the hold switch and holding select and menu for about 10 seconds. I now have it booting into the apple firmware, with rockbox still installed. I'm running a 5th gen iPod video. My concern is why did this happen, and will it happen again? Does anyone have any experience there?
