RH9 native firewall how to edit

were do i go to edit the standard install firewall(iptables) that comes with RH9.

i have a few odd ports that i want to open up to my laptop for testing reason via my LAN.

i dont know enough about iptables to code the line, but IIRC my laptop already has a few custom lines in it that i see on startup. i could copy/paste/edit them for the ports i need if i knew were to look.

thanks for the heads up, and would gedit work for this, or do i need to learn vi/vim enough to make the edit?

Speaking as a newbie who finds iptables confusing, I'd install Webmin and play around with it. Webmin gives you relatively user-friendly option fields to fill in. It should be easier to see and understand what you're doing.
