resize swap partiton ?

hey.

can some1 recomend a free linux native program for
resizing my linux hard drive ?

this is a little more complicated than usual as i want to resize my swap
partiton.... and redhat keeps telling me that the swap partiton is of file system type :"NONE" which makes it hard to know what tool to use

i have 512 megs of ram, so linux decided to make my swap 1024 megs....
and on a 6 gig hard drive, i cannot spare that much.
i usually use a 600 meg swap partiton, but was in a hurry installing

Do you now parted? it is a GNU's tool.
I've used it to resize my partitions
