remove gnome-desktop ubuntu and strictly use lxde ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty

To whom it may concern,

If I completely remove the gnome-desktop on ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty and stay with lxde until my hdd fails will that cause any unforseen problems for me?

I don't see where it would cause any specific issues.

Just installed Debian the other day usiong the netinstall.iso, and was able to choose during install Gnome, XFCE4 or LXDE. was nice to have the desktop I wanted from GO..

Your hard drive failing is a whole nother story about issues..
