Redhat9 KDE System applet problem

Hi,

I am running Redhat 9, with KDE 1.3.4. The system applet which displays if there are any redhat update available disapeared.

What happens is that the applet is loaded, I can see an empty space in the toolbar, if I right click on that "space" I can see the applet is up and running... however, there isn't any image/alert being displayed.

It used to work fine and I do not think I changed anything on my box since the initial install....

The odd thing is that it happened before when I was using RedHat 8.0...

Do you know how to debug an applet? or to get more error messages and where they are?

It may be linked or not but the ScreenSaver also stopped working.

Cheers,
Sylvain.
