Question redhat linux installation


the following error was found while trying to install redhat linu
"no redhat enterprise linux CD was found which matches your boot media" though I had inserted a redhat CD

Sounds like after load that it's unable to recognize your cdrom hardware for some reason, have you tried any other distributions?

what version of red hat ??

also red hat IS NOT free . please pay for the updates and tech support

Yes i hv also tried debian..,and i'm nt able to install it completely;at some point it got stuck

Without more information we won't be able to help you, I'd suggest downloading the current version of centos5 or debian lenny and attempting the install again, if you run into a problem come here with the exact messagess and steps and we'll be glad to assist you.

just change your cd Rom. some file cannot read with old cd rom.
