i'm trying to install drivers for my sound card, and part of it requires pointing to the kernel source. It says the source is usually locating at /usr/src/linux..

However, all i have is /usr/src/redhat and then a bunch of empty folders....

I tried installing all the kernel rpm's off the cd, but i got the msg:
file /lib/modules/2.4.18-3/kernel/net/wanrouter/wanrouter.o from install of kernel-2.4.18-3 conflicts with file from package kernel-2.4.18-3
for every line.

I was able to find some stuff about the kernel in /lib/modules/2.4.18-3 , but this path didn't work for the driver install. Anybody know what might be going on?

well you've obviously just not got the kernel-source-2.4.18 package installed. go install it.
