Recursive Make

Is there any good examples for recursive make?

I am going to do in the Makefile

all:
cd ./libdir; ./configure; *ifdef env_A then $(MAKE) a else $(MAKE) b endif*

I know above line won't work, but I think you guys know what I mean.

'info make' or check here http://www.math.utah.edu/docs/info/make_1.html.

It's everything you ever wanted to know.

zakaluka.
