recovering from a dead raid 5 array

Hi Everyone

Over the weekend 2 disks in a raid5 array failed. So I am trying to put back the pieces.

One of failed disks, however still operates enough for dd_rescue to make an image of it to another disk.

However when the disks are put back in the array it still thinks that the new imaged disk has failed.

I tried a staright dd but it stops due to errors on disk.

Does anyone know of a way to make an image of a disk so that a raid 5 array can be pieced back together?

Note. we can not get exactly the same disks. (100G western digital, replaced with 120G western Digital)

Cheers

Aaron

if you lost 2 drives in a RAID 5 array then all your data is lost unless you want to spend thousands of dollars to have a data recovery company try to recover your data.
