1) I have no idea what your level of experience with GNU/Linux is; I can only determine that you have 20 posts to your credit here at LinuxQuestions. That leaves me (and anyone else wanting to reply to your post) in the position of making assumptions about your experience, which may do you no good. So, a comment about your experience level would be helpful. Also, some information about which distro you are using would be helpful. Tools and utilities vary from distro to distro. Knowing which tools you have available to you (of which you may not be aware) would be helpful in answering your question.
2) Be more specific about what changes you want to accomplish in your postfix configuration.
3) Be more specific about the changes you made to /etc/postfix/main.cf.
4) How did you make the changes to main.cf? Did you use postconf -e to edit main.cf, or a text file editor such as vim or kate? Did you edit as user or as root?
Sorry for the incovenience. I am running centos 5, and i have edit the main.cf using pico. I added an ip address on mynetworks variable but it doesnt appear on postconf -d after doing a reload. Thank you.
