raid 5 configuration
recently i had a raid 0 configuration die on me, because 1 of the hd's died. there were 4 drives, i have 3 left. i was going to set up a raid5 to prevent this from happening again.
my question is, can you add drives to a raid 5 configuration? say i set it up with the 3 drives i have, and want to add another later on to make the array bigger, can i do this and keep the data i have on the array with the 3 drives, or do i have to start fresh and format the 4 drive raid array?

M, let me inquire which man pages, HOWTO's, &c. you have already found & read. (W/ links where appropriate.) Also, any Q's you have about what you have read. That way we are staring "on the same page" as they say.
