Qvdvauthor /tmp error

I am using QDvDAuthor to create the buttons and menus. I used the tutorials it easy to setup and create the buttons and menu's and so forth its a snap. I cannot get it to complete the creation process however, it appears to keep having a problem with the /tmp directory and will give an error as such

Quote:
INFO: Locale=LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8;LC_NUMERIC=en_AU.UTF-8;LC_TIME=en_GB.UTF-8;LC_COLLATE=en_GB.UTF-8;LC_MONETARY=en_AU.UTF-8;LC_MESSAGES=en_GB.UTF-8;LC_PAPER=en_AU.UTF-8;LC_NAME=en_AU.UTF-8;LC_ADDRESS=en_AU.UTF-8;LC_TELEPHONE=en_AU.UTF-8;LC_MEASUREMENT=en_AU.UTF-8;LC_IDENTIFICATION=en_AU.UTF-8
INFO: Converting filenames to UTF-8
INFO: dvdauthor creating VTS
STAT: Picking VTS 01

STAT: Processing /tmp/Supernatural/Super1Ep1/Super1Ep1.mpeg2...
ERR: Error opening /tmp/Supernatural/Super1Ep1/Super1Ep1.mpeg2: No such file or directory
So I then tried it with each different encoder Videotrans, Transcode and Mencoder no go. I have then changed the tmp drive thru the setup option. No Go. I delted old tmp drive thru /tmp admin options. Try no go. Moved tmp directory from /tmp to /home/flebber/tmp . no go.

I guess I am a little boggled it clearly has the video file - it can play it - and to my logic the /tmp drive is where it is suppossed to place the files during conversion. So the error seems to me to say Program : I can't open file that I just put there, it doesn't exist.

So what would one do ?

PS I also exported the project to dvdauthor.xmal and to a .sh file and ran both with the same result.

I created a new project with no sound files only one background and 2 video files and I receive a similar error /tmp/newproject . Any Ideas.

Cool I will put it in the too curly basket. I have sent the feedback to the devs with all relevant info but haven't as yet had response.

I like qdvdauthor but you have to be careful in the sections where it automatically sets up the paths to thing. It usually screws this up. It sometimes will double add a section of the pathway or add a space to the pathway. Either of these will cause errors like you are seeing. Take a very close look at these setting and I think you will see a problem.

Good Luck
