Question to Linux Elite! - Tranfering X application between X servers on-fly!

Hi,

I need a way to:

Display my current display in another X server. I want to see it in both, mirror mode!
And how can I transfer an application from : 0 to : 1? I want to avoid, when doing something like a download, to lose it when restarting X server.

Is this possible?

Thanks,
Alexandre Gomes

KDE has a feature called desktop sharing. On my system, I can access this from the K menu as K|System|DesktopSharing

There is a lot of information to look at here:
http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/...top_Connection

The x11vnc link that you will find there that might be particularly useful:
http://www.karlrunge.com/x11vnc/

I think you are out of luck regarding your hope of preserving a X application when you restart your X server.

I'm not looking to vnc or similar. I'm looking for native linux functions.
Thats very strange that X doesn't provide this by default. Due to his client-server architecture it should be "easy" to implement. Also, without this, now I understand why noone talks of this lacks in Linux up-time. I we aren't talking of server only features, lets say a workstation, Linux have no such thing as "better uptime than windows"!

Any help in this field would be nice
