[SOLVED] question on freeCAD linux

Hi everyone.
I m planning to buy a 3d printer and to create my own files to feed the printer. I use to use software like autocad in windows platform but now using knoppix I can t put this software on (not enough space and my laptop is already slow).
so I saw a software call freeCAD already present in linux.
my question is: someone knows about this software? is it equivalent to the cad running on windows platform ?
