Question about installing cd-discid on Slackware 10.2

I am running Slackware 10.2 and kernel version 2.4.31. I want to try abcde ripper. I downloaded it and put the script in its proper place. When I ran the script I get the following error:
Code:
which: no cd-discid in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/opt/www/htdig/bin:/usr/lib/java/bin:/usr/lib/java/jre/bin:/opt/kde/bin:/usr/lib/qt/bin:/usr/share/texmf/bin:.:/home/michael/bin)
abcde error: cd-discid is not in your path
I looked around and realized that I do not have cd-discid installed, so I downloaded the cd-discid_0.9.orig.tar.gz. I looked at the files provided, but I am no too sure how to install cd-discid. Here are the files in the .tar.gz:

Code:
cd-discid-0.9/COPYING
cd-discid-0.9/README
cd-discid-0.9/Makefile
cd-discid-0.9/cd-discid.1
cd-discid-0.9/cd-discid.c
cd-discid-0.9/changelo
I looked in the README file it does not give instructions on installation. I tried ./confgiure, make and make install to no avail. I also tried google and other linux forums for instructions, but I could not find any.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong, or have any links that may help?

Thanks

What's wrong with just running make? If that doesn't work, you need to tell us what goes wrong. Do you have gcc installed?

Found my problem. I was trying ./configure, then tried to run Makefile. I just thought I had to run ./configure first. All I had to do what to type make and make install. Stupid mistake on my part. Sorry :0
