Question about building glibc and ncurses
I'm a Slackware 8 Linux user who has upgraded most of the system manually from source. I'm now running the 2.6.10 kernel, glibc-2.3.4, gcc-3.4.3, and ncurses-5.4. I've had ncurses-5.4 installed since it first came out.
I recently installed glibc-2.3.4 and the build went fine. I know ncurses can be built as a glibc add-on and I'm wondering if there are any advantages to donig that or is that basically no different than installing ncurses separately from glibc?
Thanks...
Peace...
