pureftpd authentication faild problem


i made a user account and it has a home dir, it can login ssh and everything but i cant get it to login ftp, all my other user account are able, but this one keeps getting authentication failed when a ftp login is tried, any ideas to why

i dont understand why it will long ssh but ftp


edit:
fix the problem with webmin, seems i did not have the account assigned to a shell
