PSTN line telephone call logging applications

hi
can someone tell me, whether it is possible to log the incoming call information of my PSTN line?

if so, a little bit of guidance is well appreciated

What type of call information do you want to log? The simplest method would be to use a compatible dialup voice MODEM and customize vgetty. There might be other software out there.
