Hi U all, I'll try to be as clear as possible

I'm trying to set up an IDS with the help of snort, mysql, php and apache. Well, the problems are that when trying to install snort it needs libpcap 0.6, but I have already installed libpcap 0.8 and it do not want to be installed. I've got the same problem with trying to install dsniff.

Moreover my php scripts do not want execute (or may be the apache don't want to execute them). I have a standart Fedora Core 2 installation on my machine. All php scripts are put in /var/www/cgi-bin/

I've got my php module loaded (or at least I think so).

Please help me about running the php scripts and the problem with libpcap versions.
