What version of gDesklets did you install, and was a pre-compiled packaged for your distro or compiled from source? When you say it won't load anymore, does that mean it was working and you have installed a plugin it's not happy with? If so, simply move the plugin out of the gDesklets directory and re-start the daemon. A lot of plugins such as the calendar and countdown plugins I looked at recently only work with the latest releases and would crash upon loading, but at least the daemon and other desklets would carry on working.

Hello,

I do believe it was the latest one but I will have to check when I get home. I installed it from the add programs menu in Ubuntu. It was working fine with just a weather plugin and a Mac looking launcher. I didn't add a plugin or anything and the daemon would come up but no plugins. Also when I try to go into the manger I get that error listed at the top. So I can't even get into the manger to install or uninstall a plugin. I thought maybe a theme was the problem but that didn't seem to help. I've also reinstalled everything including python that also didn't help.
