Smile problem with qmailctl

Hello everyone
i am using fedora core 5 installed on vmware and i have a problem
installing qmail. sendmail is not installed so no need removing it.
I followed the instructions of installing qmail but i realised that qmailctl was missing so i downloaded qmailctl-0.43 and re-run the instructions but to my dismay still qmailctl does not respond. I mean that
when you run qmailctl it says that "command not found"

I have performed make setup check successfully,
i have performed ./config-fast successfully,

The qmailctl script contains all the various commands that will allow me to control qmail daemons. I Put it in with the other qmail binaries. Also link it into /usr/bin so it will be in my "path" for easy access

I have googled and googled for 5 days now but to no avail.

Is there a way to make qmailctl work?
Any help is appreciated.

First, FC5 is ancient. FC is at least up to V10 now, so upgrading would be definitely a good idea, and might solve alot of your problems.

Running qmailctl won't work, if that command isn't in your path. You say you ran the install and compile....did you notice where it installed the program? The readme or install notes should tell you these things. You can (as root), run "find / -name qmailctl", and see where it is, then use that entire path/command to run it. If things are installed correctly, it should work.
