Problem with mkisofs (can't produce an ISO file)

Hello:

I'm trying to remaster Knoppix, but I'm getting an error when producing the ISO file. After the command

mkisofs -R -U -V "My Knoppix" -publisher "Joao Esteves"
-hide-rr-moved -cache-inodes -no-bak -pad /knoppix/knoppixuncompressed/KNOPPIX
| nice -5 /usr/bin/create_compressed_fs - 65536 > /knoppix/knoppixiso/KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX

there is the following error after 54.19% completed:

"terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): st9 bad_alloc
Aborted"

Is this a bug of mkisofs, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

I have kanotix installed with 2.6.15-1-kanotix kernel and the version of Knoppix I want to remaster is 4.01.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards.
Joao
