Problem with Gnome-pilot gpilotd

I'm trying to get gnome pilot up and running but am having some problems. I'm a linux newby so please be patient.

When ever I hit the hotsync button I get an erro that says the gpilotd quit unexpectedly and gives me the option to report the problem to developers. Here are the debug details. They mean nothing to me what so ever so I'm hoping someone else has some clue as to whats going wrong here. I can backup from the command line using pilot-xfer without any problems.

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/libexec/gpilotd'
