Problem when MFiX using Intel Fortan Compiler 11.1

MFiX is some kind of numerical open source software, which is written by Fortan.

MY OS: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS(64 bit)
AMD Atholon 4200+/3G DDR2/
Intel Fortan Compiler: 11.1/073(Latest)
MFiX: Downloads from www.mfix.org

Problems:
(1)When I compile MFiX by make_mfix, it shows that:

32 bit Linux system detected, please select compiler.

==============================================================
MFIX Compilation directives available for following compilers:
==============================================================
[1] Portland Group Linux Fortran Compiler (pgf90)
[2] Intel Fortran Compiler version 9.X (ifort)
[3] Intel Fortran Compiler version 10.X (ifort)

Why is 32 bit Linux system detected, actually I install 64 bit one.

(2)When I select [2] or [3], it shows that:
Intel Linux Fortran Compiler version 10.X selected
Environment variable for big endian IS NOT set!
Issue the following Cshell command at the prompt and
then recompile:
setenv F_UFMTENDIAN big for csh/tcsh
export F_UFMTENDIAN=big for ksh/bash

Aborting compilation

How to solve the problem?

I'm a newbie, and learn Ubuntu recently.
I really need your help.
Thanks in advance.

read carefully
"Environment variable for big endian IS NOT set!
Issue the following Cshell command at the prompt and
then recompile:"

setenv F_UFMTENDIAN big for csh/tcsh
export F_UFMTENDIAN=big for ksh/bash

i think you must try 2nd directive as ubuntu use dash/bash
also compile from terminal where you issued this directive

Thanks for your reply.
I add it into bashrc, it works.

By the way, the first problem also be solved by replace [opt] of uname in make_mfix in order to return x86_64 to script, thus 64 bit OS is detected.

All in all, thanks again for your guidance.

when i run
Code:
sh make_mfix
After selecting all the options as [y] and choosing gfortran the error reported is :
Code:
make -f mfix_l.make
gfortran -mp -c -g param_mod.f
f951: error: unrecognized command line option "-mp"
make: *** [param.mod] Error 1
I have gfortran installed to version 4.4.3 as is evident from the output of gfortran --version
Code:
GNU Fortran (Ubuntu 4.4.3-4ubuntu5) 4.4.3

How were u able to compile mfix? Is there a way out for this problem ???

Thanks.
